RENAISSANCE ORLANDO AT SEAWORLD PARTNERS WITH GIVE KIDS THE WORLD TO CELEBRATE LAUNCH OF NEW WATER PLAYGROUND

Grand Opening Event of Hotel’s ‘R Aqua Zone’ Raises Awareness For Children With Life-Threatening Illnesses

ORLANDO (July 17, 2011) – Families fromGive the Kids the World Village (GKTW), a
non-profit ‘storybook’ resort for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families,
gathered at Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorldon Friday as the hotel introduced its ‘coolest’
new feature, R Aqua Zone, an interactive water playground complete with two twisting,
turning water slides, periscope guns, a water windmill, rain tree, gyroscope spinner and more.
Exclusive to GKTW “wish”children and their families, the event also celebrated the
organization’s “National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day”, an annual awareness campaign that
aims to share the carefree spirit of the “Village” with the rest of the world. Officially launched in July in conjunction with National Ice Cream Month, “Ice Cream For Breakfast” encourages communities to raise awareness and funds for GKTW by hosting and attending
ice cream socials in their hometowns.

At the fun-filled pool party, children enjoyed Shamu ice pops and ice cream cones,
aquatic games and prizes, and even had the opportunity to have their photos taken with the
SeaWorld’s Mascot “Shamu” and the GKTW mascot, “Mayor Clayton”.
“It is an honor to support such a worthy cause as Give Kids The World,” said Gary
Dybul, Director of Sales and Marketing for Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld. “Seeing all of
the smiling faces today was a great reminder that if we work together, we can positively
impact the lives of children.

For over 20 years, GKTW has been serving up smiles and memories for children
with life-threatening illnesses and theirfamilies in the form of all-you-can-eat ice cream in
the Village’s infamous Ice Cream Palace. In a place where parents never have to say “no,”
the Palace is open from early in the morning until late at night, so everyone can enjoy ice
cream whenever they want—even for breakfast.

Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld is a proud participant of GKTW’s “Adopt A Villa” program where employees volunteer to manage all the landscaping, maintenance and holiday decorating for oneVilla. The Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld will also be donating a percentage of their Palms Bar & Grill pool outlet sales throughout the month of August 2011 to GKTW.
